2000 July - Francis Shihan conducts a two-day kenjutsu (art of the sword) course at the Jalan Utara dojo.

2000 Apr - Classes begin at the Royal Lake Club dojo.

2000 Sep - Dato’ Hishammuddin Hussein Onn, then minister of youth and sports pays a visit to the Maluri dojo.

2001 April - Royal Lake Club holds its first annual akido demonstration.

2001 July - Sonny Loke and a group of senior students take part in the annual 10-day summer training camp organised ny Aikido Yoshinkan Hombu Dojo Sonny Loke continues to train for a further three months at Hombu Dojo before participating in the 46th All-Japan Yoshinkan Aikido Demonstration.

2001 Sonny Loke attending an appreciation dinner for those who helped out with the demonstration - the only foreign instructor to do so.

2001 March - Sonny Loke was part of a contingent of martial art experts that visited then Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad.

2002 Aug - Saburo Takashima Sensei, an instructor with Aikido Yoshinkan Hombu Dojo in Japan, visits Malaysia with two senior students for a series of seminars and performance at the Fifth Japan-Malaysia Martial Arts Demonstration at Mid-Valley Megamall, Kuala lumpur.

2002 June- Takafumi Takeno Shihan, chief instructor of Aikido Yoshinkan Yamanashi visits Malaysia for a series of seminars and public demonstration.

2002 May - Yoshinkan Aikido Malaysia holds its first gasshuku at Casa Rachado in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.

2004

2004 Sept - Sonny Loke undertakes intensive training at Hombu Dojo Japan, following which he successfully takes a formal instructor test in fornt of Kyoichi Inoue Kancho and Tstutomu Chida Dojocho and receives his level 2 teaching certificate. While there he also takes part in Aikido Yoshinkan Yamanashi’s annual demonstration - the only instructor from overseas to do so - and assists Sonoda Shihan with classes at a few locations around Tokyo.
